Music for Veterans Rochester

Registration Ongoing for New Semester

Music for Veterans Rochester (RocVets) starts its new semester on Saturday, February 28, in the group’s new home at the School of the Arts in Rochester. The session marks the beginning of an exciting new cycle of meaningful and inspiring programming designed specifically to serve those who have served.

RocVets, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to providing veterans with access to free music instruction in a supportive and creative environment. Through hands-on learning, collaboration, and performance opportunities, participants gain not only musical skills but also connection, camaraderie, and community.

Veterans and their immediate family members from across the Rochester area are invited to participate. Classes are held on Saturday mornings at the School of the Arts, 45 Prince Street, Rochester. Registration is open on a rolling basis throughout the semester, so it’s not too late to join. Sign up at www.rocvetsmusic.org.

Once registered, participants are encouraged to arrive ready to begin their musical journey. No prior musical experience is necessary — just a willingness to learn and engage. They may bring an instrument of their own interest, but instruments will be provided if needed.

To further support local veterans and the group’s mission, RocVets is also seeking instrument and monetary donations from the community.
